We talk about the deleted scenes that most of us haven't seen until this release, some name and place pronunciations, technical issues of the physical release, and of course, a very much in depth talk comparing the new dub cast with the old dub cast. Dennis also gets a further surprise in one of the special features. Now, let us return to Gaea once again!

Kate and Dennis are pretty out of their element when it comes to Cardcaptor Sakura knowledge, so it's great to have some people on to carry the load. We also talk at length about Pioneer's dub differences and directing choices compared to the Japanese version, along with silly things like Asian parental pressure, Yukito's fashion sense, Tomoya: creepy/not creepy, ghosting a ghost, and more.

After watching Wicked City for our first episode, we can make a better comparison due to the fact that both movies have the same creative mind behind both productions in Yoshiaki Kawajiri. We unfortunately also have to talk about the way the heroine is treated in the film, because it's a big plot point. We also go over Diana's anime skit homage to this movie, movie universe rules, no relation to Ninja Resurrection, and ninja magic.

With many different versions of this anime, we tried to go back to the first one, released by Manga Entertainment. Paradise isn't all that it seems, as the city of Olympus deals with terrorist threats and political struggle. But is it all flash and no substance? We can't help but compare it to both Bubblegum Crisis and Ghost in the Shell.

Episode 22 - Computer Science Major (Ghost in the Shell) 0

That voice in your ears isn't the Puppet Master, it's the Vintage Anime Club! In a change of plans, Ed, Kate, and Dennis go over the 1995 classic Ghost in the Shell before the 2017 live-action version is released to see if it still holds up. We go over some of the differences between the Special Edition DVD, 2.0, and 25th Anniversary edition (even though Dennis keeps referring it to "20th" instead of 25th). We go over some things that were influenced by this film along with what could have influence this film, same-face character design, scenes as the inspiration for the live action film (based on trailers alone), future tech prediction, and so much diving.

And of course, we go over some of the important characters' voice actors along with the bonus features of the Special Edition DVD.

Sorry for the laptop fan noise. We had to record directly into the laptop instead of using our normal digital recorder.
