Hope everyone is being safe out there. On this episode, the club gets together online again to discuss Miyazaki's first ever directed feature, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. This 1979 film was made by a bunch of people who would eventually make up the early core of Studio Ghibli. So it's a Ghibli film in spirit, but not technically a Ghibli film. We go over some of the reception to Lupin's portrayal, some differences in the Streamline version that's on Netflix, Lupin's age, old currency, extreme Home Alone, and so much more. Hope you have enough wine with you to enjoy this one, because it's a long one. And don't forget to wash your hands!
