On this episode, special guest Samantha joins the crew of Ed, Kate, Dennis, Garrett, and returning guest Alicia to discuss the second Ranma 1/2 movie, Nihao My Concubine. After going over Samantha's anime origins, we go deep into the movie discussion. There's the standard Ranma points of someone looking for a bride, cursed water, and martial arts everything. We also discuss Ranma's lack of support, very short shorts, butt coins, and trying to explain the basics of Ranma to Garrett.

Happy 2019! For the first episodes of the year, we finally dip into the long running series Ranma 1/2 by going over the first two movies. First up, Dennis, Ed, Kate, and Karen talk movie 1, originally known in North America as Big Trouble in Nekonron, China; but also known with the actual subtitle The Battle of Nekonron: The Fight to Break the Rules. We talk all the Ranma tropes from the TV series, bad dietary practices, winning one's hand for marriage, the will they/won't they Ranma and Akane relationship, and whether or not this is a good intro for someone unfamiliar with the Ranma mythos.
